Ukrainian singer Tonya Matvienko admitted what kind of relationship she had with her eldest daughter, 25 years old Ulyana.
The performer openly shared that she does not control the girl and does not tell her how she needs to live, because she is already an adult. Now Tonya Matvienko communicates with her eldest daughter as a friend.
“The eldest is already 25, I can no longer control or tell her anything about how to live. This is already my friend. We have such a relationship,” told artist on the show “33 Questions”.

However, such a warm relationship between mother and daughter was not always the case. When Matvienko went to the “Voice of the Country”, and this was in 2011, when Ulyana was 12 years old, then Matvienko’s daughter wanted to live with her dad. The girl was convinced that her mother did not have time for her. Tonya realized that she needed to improve her relationship with Ulyana and become her friend.
“There was a moment when my first husband and I separated, and she told me that she would go to live with that family. I just got on the show “Voice of the Country,” but the family decided that I didn’t have time for Ulyana, and they told her : “Let you live with us while your mother sings.” And they convinced my child. And then, in order to return my eldest daughter, I became her friend. And everything worked out,” the artist admitted.
