Tony makes a choice that no one in The Bachelor saw coming

Last weekend, presenter Rick Brandsteder revealed in RTL Boulevard that a huge plot twist was coming in The Bachelor. Anyone who has seen episode 7 at Videoland will understand why Rick talked about a ‘striking move’.

Although Tony decided to invite Maxime to a romantic dinner at his villa, it was the same Maxime who had to pack her bags at the end of the episode. And that while she ended the date with a good feeling. “I will go home with a good feeling,” said the Amsterdam girl ignorantly in front of the camera after their second date. “How insecure the past few days have been, I actually feel that good now. So I just have to hold on to that and hopefully there will be another date soon.”

But that date never came… During the rose ceremony, the coveted bachelor decided to send her back to the Netherlands without any explanation. Just before the standout action, Rick took the bachelor aside for a moment and Tony told him that his feelings were ‘going in all directions’.

“What I just continue to find very important is that when I touch someone or give a kiss, what happens in my body. And what I think someone else thinks they feel. For me that kiss is very important. That is whether you’re on one level, or that energy jumps and you feel it for each other. I think a simple, sweet kiss says a lot.”

The last rose of the evening went between Sarah, Maxime and Rose. “For me here, with so many women around me, it’s hard to discover real feelings. Sometimes a kiss reveals a lot,” Tony said before giving the last rose to Sarah. Something that nobody, really nobody expected. Although Roos already had a premonition that she had to leave the field, it came out of nowhere for Maxime. “I can’t even be happy with my own rose”, says Jolijn. “It’s really a blow to everyone. Nobody saw it coming.”
