Tonight: Máxima at ‘COVID-19 and childhood cancer’

During the meeting, Máxima and several other speakers emphasize the importance of research into childhood cancer. Prof. Rob Pieters of the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology and other international doctors and scientists will subsequently exchange experiences on research into the disease, which affects approximately six hundred children in the Netherlands every year.

The diagnosis and treatment of children with cancer who are also infected with the corona virus is also discussed. Special attention is paid to the psychosocial effects of a corona infection on children and families.
