Toni Kroos does not want to break anything over his knee when it comes to a contract extension. According to Marca, there is already an offer that the former German international has received. This would extend the collaboration, which expires in 2023, by another season.
The 32-year-old communicated to the club’s management that he first wanted to wait and see how things would go for him in the coming season – and then make a decision. It is not the right time to extend the contract now.
It has been clear for a long time what Kroos’ answer will be if he is in the right physical condition. “I made it very clear that I will end my career here,” Kroos said in an interview at the beginning of the year. “The club and I have an incredible relationship that I would never jeopardize by playing more poker.”
