In the latest edition of the podcast “Einfach mal Luppen”, which he runs with his brother Felix, he emphasized that his focus was and is entirely on collective successes.

“If there had been one, I wouldn’t have stood up and rejected it because that is already an award. Above all, it is prestigious, but not important. That’s a big difference. My default attitude is simply that I don’t think it’s important – or not as important as other players. I have always seen myself as a team player, which is also due to my style of play, and I want to win titles with the team. That’s what counts in the end. Because I believe that the team deserves these titles, I also believe that individual awards are unnecessary in a team sport. I’ve always said that and I stand by it. No single player would have even come close to winning anything on their own.”explained Kroos.
