Together with the rest of the participants, she has in recent weeks fought her way through tough tasks and daring challenges.
There is still one special part of the stay at Setnesmoen military camp that the 33-year-old had to work a little extra with.
–
– It does not happen
There is little doubt that military life is physically challenging, and several of the participants in “Kompani Lauritzen” have sustained injuries during the program. For Damli, on the other hand, it was not the fear of getting injuries that was challenging, but the fact that all participants had to share a toilet.
– It was a shared toilet, the kind of booths you have in middle school. And I’m struggling with that stuff there. To sit next to Espen Lervaag and squeeze out a seal pup – I do not mind. Or I can not do that, Damli tells Dagbladet.
It therefore took a long time before the artist managed to go to the bathroom properly.
– So it simply took ten days and it was quite… It’s not good you know, she admits to Dagbladet.
– Strict message
According to Damli, there was little sympathy to be gained from the commander who led the “Kompani Lauritzen” troop. They should have been clear about the participants’ dorutines.
– We got a strict message from the commander: You have to go to the bathroom in the woods and get it out, otherwise it steals energy from you, Damli says.
She still found a way to go to the bathroom without any interruption from the participants.
–
– I arranged it on my own. We had such a “Company” clock and on it there was a small alarm, so I put it on half an hour before the revel (alarm signal, journ.anm.) Was to go one day. I got up a little before everyone else, I need say no more, she reveals.
Outbreak
However, it was not just constipation that characterized the stay during the program. Earlier this month it became known that a outbreaks occurred during the recording in late summer last year.
Despite the fact that several of the participants became ill, the hard strains that the program offers must have remained as normal.
SeInere it became known that it was The 33-year-old who brought with him illness into the barracks. Damli became ill the day before she was to travel to Åndalsnes, and was afraid that she would become so ill that she was not allowed to participate.
– But I traveled and tested negative on the corona test, fortunately. But I was pretty bad when I got in there, it was no fun at all. And a little ruthless also because there were many others who would get sick afterwards then, she told Dagbladet earlier this month.
