Tonali really looks like Pirlo

Sandro Tonali once stated that he did not want to be equated with Andrea Pirlo. In fact, Tonali really resembles Pirlo.

Pirlo scored his first goal for Milan in March 2002 against Parma at the San Siro in an Italian League match. The dropout from the Brescia youth team packed it in the 78th minute through the same point and the ball went into the same corner as Tonali.

Tonali and Pirlo’s resemblance is also due to both having graduated from Brescia and making their professional debut there. However, the 21-year-old midfielder never wanted to be equated with Pirlo.

Gattuso besides being a Milan legend, he also coached at the San Siro from November 2017 to May 2019. Sandro Tonali have not had the chance to experience being coached by Gattuos because they only joined in September 2020.
