MORELIA, Mich., January 24, 2024.- Through the Los Ángeles Taurinos foundation, a ton of clean, boneless meat was donated to the Michoacán Food Bank, which will benefit about two thousand families. This meat is the product of a bullfight held last Saturday, January 20 at the Palacio del Arte.
In a press conference held at the Michoacán Food Bank, Federico Pizarro, director of this foundation, explained that once again they fulfilled a mission through the work they do, objectives that are always focused on being able to embrace important causes, one of They are the food for those who need it, he expressed.
The former bullfighter also pointed out that this type of spectacle, such as bullfighting, is usually expensive, so the meat is commonly sold to recover expenses of what a bullfight costs, however in this case, Tomasina Jameson, who presides over this foundation, decided to donate meat to the Food Bank, because beyond ideologies, Los Ángeles Taurinos always intends to help.
For his part, Enrique Rodríguez, director of the Michoacán Food Bank, explained that a large part of the food for the families served from this place has to do with what food is delivered, and in that sense he highlighted the importance of donating meat. , since this will make it possible to complement the baskets of a product that is not usually found in this type of places, and a ton will be able to benefit two thousand families, which is a positive impact for people.
In turn, Tomasina Jameson, founder of this foundation, explained that the fact of donating the meat produced by the bulls that participate in this expression of art such as bullfighting, is for Morelia, “the bullfighters give their lives, we the money,” he indicated and asked to support these causes by attending shows, both bullfights and concerts, because being able to support events supported under this foundation will imply social benefits for the population.
The president and founder of Los Ángeles Taurinos announced that the bullfighter Issac Fonseca, who will be in the bullfight to be held on February 17 at the Palacio del Arte, will do so for free to support. Four bulls from the Torreón de Cañas ranch will be at that event, and the rejoneadora Estefanía Uribe will also be there.
In that vein, Tomasina Jameson also announced the bullfight to bid farewell to rejoneador Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza, which will also take place at the Palacio del arte on March 2, and where Joselito Adame and Leo Valadez will be there.
