TON Blockchain Launches On-Chain Encrypted Messaging Feature: Here’s How It Works

July 3 TON developers integrated encryption of messages on the network. This ensures that only the sender and recipient can see the encrypted information.

At the time of writing, this feature works in MyTonWallet, OpenMask and TON Wallet wallets. It will later become available in Tonkeeper, according to Cointelegraph.

There is a fee of 0.006 TON for sending encrypted messages.

IN press release developer Anatoly Makosov separately noted the stability of the new function.

“Even in the event of an apocalypse and the failure of regular messenger servers, you will retain the ability to send messages through the decentralized TON blockchain,” Makosov said.

Recall that in February, TON developers presented a roadmap for 2023.

In June, the Ton Foundation proposed burning 50% validator rewards.
