Tom said that he is in the yard of the Israeli congregation building in Liepaja, from where he will start his third race, as well as invited those who want to run to join him.
In the charity marathon “Give five!” we think about how to become better people every year. I will think about this in particular today as I run the next 42 kilometers. Thank you Israel! ” said DJ Toms Grevins.
The donors to this race are the Israeli Embassy, dedicated to the charity marathon “Give Five!” € 10,000 to help make the daily lives of people with visual, hearing or mobility impairments more complete.
Israeli Ambassador Tom Grevin revealed that the State of Israel has a strong belief that their embassies around the world should also be involved in social projects and contribute to the local community:
“There is a very strong principle in Judaism called Hebrew tikkun olam. It means “fix the world”. It may sound great, but in reality it means that if we all do something small, something that is within our means to help others, we will fix the world. “
