Tomorrow’s Princess Rizieq Shihab’s wedding, Jalan KS Tubun will be closed again

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Leader of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab will hold a wedding ceremony for his daughter, Najwa Shihab, Saturday (11/14/2020) night. The wedding ceremony was held at Rizieq’s residence on Jalan Petamburan III, Central Jakarta, at 19.30 WIB.

However, Lurah Petamburan Setiyanto said that Rizieq would also put up tents on Jalan Raya KS Tubun. Therefore, Jalan KS Tubun will also be closed in two directions.

“Yes, the transportation team’s road closure plan,” said Setiyanto to Kompas.com, Friday (11/13/2020).

“If you see the plan to install the tent across it, maybe it is in two directions (the closure),” he continued.

He said the roads that were closed started from the Brimob hostel to the former petrol station next to Pelni Hospital.

Setiyanto said Rizieq had sent a notification about the wedding ceremony since last Wednesday to the urban village. The urban village has also forwarded it to the Transportation Agency.

The notification letter stated that 10,000 people were invited to the wedding.

Setiyanto admitted that he had coordinated with the committee so that health protocols related to Covid-19 prevention could be implemented properly during the event.

Previously, on Tuesday (10/11/2020) there was also a crowd that resulted in the closure of Jalan KS Tubun. The crowd gathered to welcome Rizieq, who had just arrived back in Indonesia.
