The Meteorological Authority’s Department of Estimation said that “an area of ​​high atmospheric pressure affects the eastern Mediterranean basin, and brings stable and relatively warm weather until next Monday, as it oscillates locally and then is affected from Tuesday morning by an air trough centered in northern Greece, and will be accompanied by relatively cold air masses, leading to volatile and rainy weather at times, and will continue until Thursday afternoon, when it will gradually recede”, noting that “the average temperature on the coast for the month of December it is between 13 and 21 degrees Celsius.”

And he explained in his morning bulletin: “The forecast weather in Lebanon today, Saturday, is partly cloudy with high clouds, with a slight increase in temperatures. As for the forecast tomorrow, Sunday, it will be partly cloudy to partly cloudy, with high clouds, with temperatures that continue to rise, exceeding the seasonal rates”.

And the Department of Estimate underlined: “The weather forecast for Monday is partly cloudy with high clouds, with no significant variations in temperatures during the day, which are 3 degrees higher than the seasonal averages, and winds are active at times. The humidity increases, fog forms on the heights, and clouds gather.” During the night the weather prepares for sporadic rains, especially in the interior and northern regions, with the possibility of lightning and thunder.

And it indicated that “the weather forecast for Tuesday is generally cloudy, with a gradual and tangible drop in temperatures returning to the seasonal averages, and sometimes thick fog in the highlands. Scattered and intermittent rains fall, and their intensity increases at times, especially in the northern half of the country, and is accompanied by lightning, thunder, active winds and turbulence in case of sea, starting in the evening, and snow falling at an altitude of 2,000 meters and above.

The department added: “Surface winds: Northwest during the day and northeast at night, with speeds between 8 and 25 km/h. Visibility is generally good. Relative humidity on the coast is between 50 and 70%.Sea conditions are low, wave heights are low, and the water surface temperature is 22 degrees Celsius.”
