Nevertheless, the sources pointed out that it is not possible to determine whether the Banque du Liban will immediately initiate tomorrow to issue a circular, explaining that the market is now in a state of anticipation and is awaiting the element of surprise from the Central Bank.
Likewise, the sources indicated that some banks are currently awaiting new signals from the Central Bank to find out whether or not there will be amendments to “banking” withdrawals, especially with regard to requests that were submitted on the basis of an open price.
The sources pointed out that these banks are awaiting the issuance of any circular in this regard to know the mechanism of movement during the coming days.
