Tomorrow, more than 121 thousand doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines will arrive in the country

Tomorrow two new batches of doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, with a total of 121,680 doses, according to official confirmations received by the national authorities.

One of them corresponds to the bilateral contract with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer / BioNTech and would bring with it 80,730 thousand doses. The remaining 40,950 doses were purchased through the multilateral COVAX and also correspond to the Pfizer / BioNTech brand.

Both deliveries are given within the framework of the agreements signed by the National Commission for Risk Prevention and Emergency Care (CNE) with pharmaceutical companies and the multilateral mechanism.

With the two deliveries this week, June is reaching an amount of more than 565 thousand doses received, being the second month with the highest number of doses received by the three agreements signed.

“We continue to receive the vaccines as agreed and that allows us to advance in the immunization of the population, at the CNE we have a team that week by week monitors the arrival of vaccines and the logistics that it entails,” said Alexander Solís.

The arrival times of the 121,680 vaccines will be confirmed by the pharmacist in the next few hours.
