RATB Dave Transport Cairo, the company responsible for the management and operation of the Capital Train (the light electric train project), has announced the management of three new stations in the Capital Train, which are Al-Roubiky, Capital Gardens and Capital Airport, in compliance with the directives of the Ministry of Transport and under the supervision of the Ente Trafori Nazionali.
This step comes to provide an easy transportation experience for passengers using clean energy and to encourage many citizens to use transportation as the metro train represents a quantum leap in the transportation sector in Egypt.
The first phase, with a total of 11 stations, plus one station of the second phase, opened on July 3, 2022, to merge the light electric train with the clean transport system with electric trains in Egypt, which consists of “tram, subway, monorail, light electric train (LRT) and fast electric train”.
