Tomorrow 100 years of UniTs Economics, questions and comedy

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, APRIL 14 – The economic studies of the University of Trieste are 100 years old, a century since the birth of the first Faculty of the University, which has now become Deams Department of Economic, Business, Mathematical and Statistical Sciences “Bruno de Finetti” . The birthday will be celebrated tomorrow by recounting a path of growth, innovation and constant commitment to research and teaching at the service of all students, of the territory and of what the University calls “community”. And since study also means exams, to remain faithful to its history, the celebratory event will be divided into a large exam session with students but all strictly “out of course”, and with “questions”. In the first part, a Round Table will take place, coordinated by Guido Bortoluzzi, professor of Economics and Business Management, in which five successful Alumni/s will be “interrogated” on the changes in society, the economy, the financial world and culture who have had the greatest impact on the companies in which they work, what challenges they have encountered and how they have faced them. I am Thomas Baumgartner, President of FERCAM SpA (Italy); Renata Casaro, Head of Investor Relations at Schaeffler (Germany); Giancarlo Fancel, Country Manager Italy & CEO Generali Italia; Giampaolo Viseri, CEO of Allianz Global Life (Ireland); Sarah Zoi, Federal Reserve System (USA). In the second part, a journalist and writer will “question” Francesco Magris, professor of Political Economy, on some of the main current economic issues. Finally, a one-act comedy “Appello… per fuori corso” will be performed, written specifically for the centenary of the faculty, in which a professor – the actor Adriano Giraldi – will question a (very) off course student, the doyen of Trieste actresses Ariella Reggio.
