Defendant Tommy Sumardi admitted that he had been threatened by the former Kadiv Hubinter Polri Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte. Tommy admitted that at that time he was threatened because of his shortage fee related to removal efforts red notice Joko Soegiarto Tjandra alias Djoko Tjandra.
Initially, the general prosecutor Gusti M Sophan confirmed the money given to Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte to Tommy, who was questioned as a defendant. Prosecutors asked Tommy to specify how much he handed over to Napoleon.
Tommy also explained the details of the money distribution as follows:
-27 April 2020, gave USD 100 thousand, but Prasetijo cut it to USD 50 thousand, then he refused
-28 April 2020 gave SGD 200 thousand plus USD 50 thousand which was rejected on April 27
-29 April 2020, USD 100 thousand
-4 Mei 2020, USD 150 ribu
-5 Mei 2020, USD 70 ribu.
The prosecutor then asked about the USD 70 thousand that Tommy had given him. Because, in the indictment, Tommy only gave USD 20 thousand to Inspector General Napoleon on May 5.
“When will you receive more money from Joko Soegiarto Tjandra?” asked the prosecutor at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (8/12/2020).
“On May 5, USD 20 thousand in a public kitchen in Tanah Abang, which was between Pak Nurdin (driver) Djoko Tjandra,” answered Tommy.
“Yesterday, the testimony of witnesses Sisca and Nurdin said he gave it not on May 5, but on May 12, amounting to USD 100 thousand. On May 5, you gave Napoleon the bail or not?” asked the prosecutor to confirm again.
Tommy also emphasized that the surrender of USD 70 thousand was not from money Djoko Tjandra. He bailed out the USD 70 thousand because Napoleon threatened him to pay it off immediately fee related to deletion red notice that.
