Director of Law and Public Relations of the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) Tri Wahyuningsih Retno Mulyani said, until now the BLBI task force had not received official notification of what legal steps the son of the 2nd President Suharto would take.

“Until now there is no information regarding what legal steps he (Tommy Suharto) will take. Maybe we are together, later we will see what he will carry out,” he said in a virtual media briefing, Friday (12/11/2021). ).

According to him, Tommy’s statement regarding taking legal steps was only conveyed to the media. Meanwhile, the BLBI Task Force has not officially been submitted.

Previously, the woman who is familiarly called Ani ensured that all confiscation processes carried out by the BLBI Task Force were in accordance with the laws and regulations. So that the lawsuit will not stop the government from carrying out its task of collecting state money.

“The seizure of assets has been done in accordance with the law,” he said.

For information, the government has just confiscated Tommy Suharto’s assets which have been pledged to the state as an effort to pay off his debts. Meanwhile, Tommy’s debt to the state was recorded at Rp 2.61 trillion after adding 10 percent of the administrative costs for managing state receivables.

Tommy’s debt to the country was made through PT Timor Putera Nasional (TPN) during the 1997-1998 financial crisis.

The following is a list of assets belonging to Tommy Suharto that were confiscated last week:

First, the land area of ​​530,125,526 m2 is located in Kamojing Village, Karawang Regency as stated in SHGB Number 4/Kamojing on behalf of PT KIA Timor Motors.

Second, the land area of ​​98,896,700 m2 is located in Kalihurip Village, Karawang Regency as stated in SHGB No. 22/Kalihurip on behalf of PT KIA Timor Motors.

Third, the land area of ​​100,985.15 m2 is located in Cikampek Pusaka Village, Karawang Regency as stated in SHGB Number 5/Cikampek Pusaka on behalf of PT KIA Timor Motors.

Fourth, the land with an area of ​​518,870 m2 is located in Kamojing Village, Karawang Regency as stated in SHGB Number 3/Kamojing on behalf of PT Timor Industri Component.
