Tommy Gambino, known as the Prince of the Mafia in New York, died at the age of 94. He was the eldest son of one of the mafia bosses Carlo Gambino, but he died of old age.
He survived one of the bloodiest mafia wars in history and earned more than $75 million in bonds and stocks of top companies, the New York Times claims.
In 1992, he and his brother pleaded guilty to corruption and paid $12 million in fines. Tommy also served 4 years for racketeering in 1996.
