Tommy Fury called for a fight with YouTube star Jake Paul after trying to beat his sparring partner.
Fury outnumbered Anthony Taylor over four rounds on the undercard of Paul’s clash with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
And after moving to 7-0 as a professional, Fury immediately urged Paul to agree to a fight after months of shuffling trash.
“It wasn’t my best performance, but at the end of the day, if it were easy, everyone could do it,” he said.
“I’m learning day by day and I’m getting better. There was no danger at all, it went the way it went tonight because it’s in God’s hands.
“Looking at this, Jake Paul should be having an easy night so now there are no excuses.
“You saw everyone in here, I got the biggest cheers of the night. No excuses, no running, no hiding.
“Let’s get started. It should be easy enough for him, I drove four laps with his sparring partner.
Fury was well received by the Cleveland crowd that packed up by the thousands for the night’s second fight.
He tried to assert his authority over the much smaller Taylor from the first bell, and the fight looked exactly as it did on paper.
Taylor managed to land a pair of right hands in the opening session, but Fury was in control.
He continued to dominate the second round as Taylor tried to hold onto the first opportunity.
Taylor’s footwork added to his troubled night, and he slipped onto the canvas in the third round as Fury patiently picked up his smaller opponent.
Fury looked for the shot that ended the fight on the final round, but Taylor held on to hear the final bell, with each of the three judges handing the traveling Brits over all four rounds.
