I have the last votes and the session of the European Parliament ahead of me. There will be no further – PiS MEP Tomasz Poręba said on Monday. He added that he was leaving current politics.
Tomasz Poręba published a statement on the X platform on Monday afternoon, informing about his decision. “I have the last votes and the session of the European Parliament ahead of me. There will be no continuation. Almost a year ago, I made the decision and informed the party management that I would not run as a candidate and was leaving current politics,” he wrote.
He added that “it was and is a conscious and very well-thought-out decision.” “I leave with my head held high and the feeling that we have achieved a lot together in recent years,” he said.
“Everything I promised was achieved together with many fantastic people. No one can take it away from me. That’s why I’m leaving with a sense of pride, relief and joy. Having won all the elections and having the best percentage results in Poland. On my own terms,” we read in Poręba’s statement.
