DENVER – Slovak hockey player Tomáš Tatar will continue in the NHL with the Colorado Avalanche. The 32-year-old striker agreed with the winner of the Stanley Cup from 2022 on a one-year contract. The official page of the competition informed about it.
The Slovak player should earn 1.5 million US dollars, the respected overseas journalist Elliotte Friedmann reported. In the past two years, he worked for the New Jersey Devils.
In the 2022/23 season, he played 82 games of the regular season and collected 48 points (20+28), he did not do so well in the playoffs and scored only one goal in 12 duels. In the professional league, he also wore the jerseys of Montreal, Vegas and Detroit. He played a total of 783 matches for the ZČ with a record of 211 goals and 244 assists. In 52 playoff duels, he added 13 points (7+6).
“Tomáš has been a consistent and productive player throughout his NHL career. He is an experienced winger who will bring depth to our forward ranks and is valid on both ends of the rink. We are excited to have him under contract for this season.” Colorado general manager Chris MacFarland said.
