The New Jersey Devils advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs by sending their rival from New York to the holidays. Tomáš Tatar also had a hand in it, and he didn’t just contribute with a goal. The Slovak forward had a microphone clipped on during the duel, which captured his tactical instructions and encouragement to his teammates, as well as a message to the opponent.
Tomáš Tatar is the last Slovak who continues to fight for the Stanley Cup. He entered the second round with a 1:5 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
