What was the most memorable moment for you during your debut match for the Portuguese national team?
1. Tell us about your experience playing for the Portuguese national team in the recent matches against Croatia and Switzerland. How did it feel to make your debut at such a high level of competition?
Tomás Araújo: It was an incredible experience. Making my debut for the Portuguese national team has always been a dream of mine, and being able to do so in such important matches was something I’ll always cherish. It was a tough game against Croatia, but I’m proud of how I performed and how the team fought until the end. The atmosphere in Switzerland was also amazing, even though we didn’t get the result we wanted. I learned a lot from these experiences and am looking forward to future opportunities with the team.
2. How have you prepared for these matches and what challenges did you face playing against top-level international competition?
Amdouni: Preparing for these matches was intensive, both mentally and physically. I trained hard with my club team and worked on specific aspects of my game that I knew would be important at the international level. Playing against top-level competition is always challenging because you’re facing better players with different styles and tactics. You have to adjust quickly and be ready to give 100% effort for the entire match.
3. Leandro, how did it feel to represent Luxembourg in the recent match against Northern Ireland? Do you feel there’s still a lot of room for improvement for the national team?
Barreiro: Representing my country at any level is an honor, and playing against a strong team like Northern Ireland was a great experience. There are definitely areas where Luxembourg can improve, but we’re working hard to develop our squad and compete at a higher level. We’re focusing on recruiting young talent and improving our tactics, so I’m optimistic about the future of Luxembourgish football.
