Backen Tom Nilsson and Frölunda HC choose to extend the collaboration, until spring 2026.
“It feels great. I enjoy Gothenburg and Frölunda and this is what I wanted. Of course it is a security to know that I will stay for two more seasons,” says the 30-year-old.
Hanviken-raised Tom Nilsson has been in Frölunda for two rounds and won SM gold during the first (2016).
“We are happy to have found a solution, it was a mutual interest. Tom is team loyal and a very good hockey player,” comments Frölunda’s sporting director Fredrik Sjöström on the contract extension.
On Saturday, Frölunda will travel to Småland for an away match with Oskarshamn, kick-off 18.00 – the match will be broadcast live on TV4play.
