Tom Parker, member of the British band The Wanted, died at the age of 33. The musician was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor two years ago.
–
The singer informed fans about the disease in October 2020.
–
His wife Kelsey Hardwick, announcing his death, wrote: “Our hearts are broken. Tom was at the center of our world. We cannot imagine life without his contagious smile and exuberant lifestyle.”
–
The couple got married in 2018. Parker orphaned two-year-old daughter Aurelia Rose and one-year-old son Bodhi Thomas. “He fought to the end,” added Hardwick.
–
Team members, in an Instagram post, said they were “devastated” by Parker’s death. They added that they were with him and his family by his side when he died.
–
Siva Kaneswaran, of the boy band, wrote: “Hey Tom, I hope you have a great time there. I’m grateful to be able to witness your courage.” “We’ll talk soon and see you. I love you, brother,” he added.
–
The Wanted was founded in 2009. The band has released three albums.
–
Parker posted a photo with his teammates on his profile just two days ago. He signed them briefly: “Dream team”.
–
In November, the group released an album with their greatest hits. Shortly before its release, Parker reported that his cancer was “under control”. He gave concerts until recently. During the last concert, however, he sang while sitting.
–
The fans cheered him up with applause.
