Gustaf Lindvall’s super save didn’t help.
Frölunda’s Tom Nilsson decided the third game against Skellefteå with two minutes left.
– Someone has to do it, says the hero of the match about the decision.
With two minutes and eleven seconds left in the game, it was still scoreless in the third game in Scandinavium. Frölunda, which was at the bottom of the match series with 0–2, looked to be heading for another extension.
Then Tom Nilsson stepped forward and decided on his own with a shot past Gustaf Lindvall in the goal. Then Max Friberg was able to make the result 2-0 with two seconds left when he put the puck into an empty basket.
– It’s little things that decide, it’s a bounce on someone or anything. That’s what decides in the end, says Nilsson to Sportbladet.

Lindvall’s incredible save
Gustaf Lindvalls was the highlight of the match. It was one of the coolest saves in a long time that Linus Söderström’s substitute was responsible for at the beginning of the second period.
The Skellefteå goalkeeper threw himself like a football goalkeeper and saved the shot from Jayden Halbgewachs with the stick.
– The game comes to a standstill and I think it’s called off. I take my usual round in the corner and look up to see they have the puck and he’s charging for the shot. Then it’s a bit of “panic mode”, says the goalkeeper.
Frölunda reduced the match series to 2–1 and the teams meet again in Scandinavium on Friday.
