Hannah Ingram-Moore said this in the TV program TalkTV with Piers Morgan. Tom Moore’s wish was that the proceeds from his three books would go to his Club Nook foundation.
This foundation is separate from the charity The Captain Morgan Foundation, which is named after the war veteran. However, the money did not go to that foundation, but ended up in the hands of Ingram-Moore.
You may remember Tom Moore from the corona period. He rose to global prominence when he raised millions of pounds to fight the virus during the pandemic.
Walking in circles
He did this by walking laps in his garden with his walker. His original goal was to raise a thousand pounds before his centenary. However, on his birthday on April 30, the counter already stood at thirty million pounds.
For his fundraising campaign, he was knighted by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth. Moore died in February 2021 from complications of the coronavirus. After his death there was regular fuss about what his relatives did with his money.
