‘Two Summers’ tells the story of a group of closest friends who come into conflict when some of them are blackmailed with a tragic death that happened 30 years ago. The series takes place on two time levels: in the present and in the 90s.

The series can unpack with roaring names such as Koen De Bouw, Kevin Janssens, Ruth Becquart, Inge Paulussen, Herwig Ilegems, An Miller, Sanne Samina Hanssen and Tom Vermeir. Their younger self in the 90s is played by eight new talents: Tijmen Govaerts, Tine Roggeman, Felix Meyer, Lukas Bulteel, Vincent Van Sande, Louise Berger, Marieke Anthoni and Bjarne Devolder. The screenplay of ‘Twee Zomers’ was written by Tom Lenaerts and Paul Baeten. So after the success of ‘Over water’ they are joining forces again. Most of the recordings of ‘Twee Zomers’ have now been completed, a few more shooting days will follow in the autumn.

‘Two Summers’ is a Panenka production for One, co-produced with Netflix. The series will be shown on public broadcasting in 2022 and will also be released worldwide by the streaming service afterwards.
