FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — In the vice presidential (Cawapres) debate, the name Thomas Lembong was mentioned several times by Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Sunday (21/1/2024).
This was conveyed when Gibran asked vice presidential candidate number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin. Gibran said that the success team for candidate pair number 1 often talked about Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP). He asked whether candidate number 1 was anti-nickel.
“Paslon number 1 and his team often echo LFP, lithium ferro phosphate. I don’t know if candidate number 1 is anti-nickel or what,” said Gibran at the 2024 Vice Presidential Election Debate at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta.
Thomas Trikasih Lembong aka Tom Lembong. He was appointed as one of the co-captains in the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar Winning National Team (AMIN National Team) for the 2024 presidential election.
He and 11 other co-captains will assist the work of the AMIN National Team Chair Marshal TNI (Ret.) Muhammad Syaugi Alaydrus.
“The next co-captain is Mr. Thomas Trikasih Lembong. He is a senior economist from Indonesia, a graduate of Harvard University in America (United States),” said Anies when announcing the list of the national winning team, Tuesday (14/11/2024).
Citing various sources, Tom was born on March 4 1971. He received his undergraduate degree at Harvard University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture and governance.
After graduating, he worked in Morgan Stanley’s Equity Division in New York and Singapore in 1995. He then became an investment banker at Deutsche Securities Indonesia in 1999-2000.
