Met Chaos Walking we get to see a film version of the book The Knife of Never Letting Go by writer Patrick Ness. Director’s sci-fi adventure movie Doug Liman (American Made, Edge of Tomorrow) could be the start of a trilogy.
Whether that will happen is somewhat doubtful. The film has been on the shelf for a while and had to be saved with $ 15 million reshoots. A big plus is the presence of the stars Daisy Ridley in Tom Holland, of course known from the Star Wars sequels and the Spider-Man films set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe respectively.

The plot is quite original. In a not-too-distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers the mysterious girl Viola (Daisy Ridley) who has crashed on his planet. On this planet, all women have disappeared and men are plagued by ‘The Noise’ – a force that makes all men’s thoughts heard by everyone. In this dangerous world, Viola’s life is under threat and Todd promises to protect her.
