Director Tom Holland has informed him of a new one Fright Night works. It’s going to be sort of a reboot as it will ignore all existing sequels. During a recent interview, the 77-year-old director spoke about it.
”I am currently working on the script called Fright Night 2: Resurrection. If you want something to be done successfully, you just have to do it yourself!”. The original Fright Night dates back to 1985 and is seen as a horror classic. There was a sequel to the cult movie in 1988, called Fright Night Part 2, but it was not well received. The planned third and closing part therefore did not materialize.
In 2011 there was a reboot, met o.a. Colin Farrell, which did quite well. A sequel was also made here, called Fright Night 2: New Blood, but this one also performed a lot less.
