For the new Spider-Man adventure, No Way HomeMany familiar faces return. So also Willem Dafoe. He will once again take on the role of his iconic villain The Green Goblin and will now take on the Spider-Man of Tom Holland. The protagonist now looks back on their first meeting.
During a recent interview, Holland shared the funny story: “When I first met Willem, it was during the period when it was a big secret. There were also a lot of people walking around on set with long coats on.”
Exciting
“I know everyone was super excited and maybe these guys were the most excited as they were going to bring their old characters back to life. They came over on set a week before they started, to see how things were going, to meet Jon and me and just have some fun.”
“So one day I was walking around the set and bumped into a man in a cloak and said, ‘Look out mate!’ Then he took off his hood and I was really shocked. I was really like ‘Oh sh*t, it’s the Goblin!’ But Willem was super friendly. It was really great and an honor to work with him.”
