New York Comic-Con will be held from October 12 to 15 with a big program concerning Disney et Marvel, and some guests will come during this weekend. Among them, we find an unexpected personality Tom Hiddleston.
Tom Hiddleston headlines New York Comic-Con
The British actor will be present at the convention on Saturday October 14 and Sunday October 15 but will not really come to promote season 2 of Loki. In reality, Tom Hiddleston will be present at a booth to sign autographs and take photos with fans.
Those who will not be able to come to Comic-Con can still try to get autographed posters through convention partner ReedPop.
Discreet promotion for season 2 of Loki
Due to the actors’ strike in Hollywood, the cast of Loki can’t promote season 2 and there’s little chance the conflict will be resolved by early October. Technically, Tom Hiddleston could promote Loki alone since he is also a producer of the series and he is not part of the American actors’ union but it is hard to imagine him not supporting the movement and his comrades.
On the side of Marvel Studios, it’s not really a problem. The reason why the air date of season 2 of Loki has not been postponed (unlike the rest of the 2023-2024 series), it is because the Maison des Idées teams are convinced that the public will come on their own with or without promotion. The first images were quite well received and Loki remains a very popular character.
