He has spent countless hours in his eleven-meter-long Airstream. But now Tom Hanks (65) has decided to sell his caravan.
–
The American film star had the caravan specially decorated to his taste in the early 90s, after he was sick of the “tastefully decorated trailers” on film sets. “I’ve spent too much time in trailers with ugly interiors and uncomfortable furniture.”
And so Hanks withdrew between takes on the set of Forrest Gump (1994) – but also the more recent The circle (2017) – back in his own house on wheels. Now the actor is getting rid of his caravan. Auction house Bonhams will auction the Airstream in August. The target is a yield of between 130,000 and 210,000 dollars.
