Richard Buckley, the husband of top designer Tom Ford, has passed away at the age of 72 from a natural death at their home in Los Angeles, after a long illness, reports the “Daily mail”. The two have been together for 35 years and have a son, Alexander John “Jack” Buckley Ford, who turns 9 on Thursday. Both Tom and Jack were with Richard in his final hours.
Designer Stella McCartney, who is Jack’s godmother, expressed her condolences on Instagram and said:

Tom Ford, 60, met Richard Buckley at a fashion show in New York in 1986. Ford said he and Buckley rode an elevator together and immediately felt an irresistible attraction. By the end of the trip, Tom knew he had found the man he would spend the rest of his life with.
