Tom Cruise never stops showering Margot Robbies with compliments and it’s definitely something we’d all do. This is not only because of his great beauty and charisma, but also because of the premiere of the ‘Barbie’ movie that is just around the corner and that has had an impact on everyone from the very beginning.
The actor who broke box office records with Top Gun: Maverick returns this year with a new installment of Mission Impossible (Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1) almost at the same time as Barbie but he did not miss the opportunity to show that he will be one of the first to be in the movie theater dressed in pink.
In fact, the wristband also arrives alongside two other summer blockbusters: Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Indiana Jones 5 with Harrison Ford. This is why Tom Cruise wants to make sure you see them all.
In an Instagram post, Tom Cruise appears in several photos. In the first he is standing in front of an Indiana Jones 5 poster with his ticket in hand, while in the second he shows his ticket for Barbie and in the third for Oppenheimer.
“This summer is full of amazing movies to see in theaters. These are just a few that we can’t wait to see on the big screen. Congratulations, Harrison Ford, on the 40th anniversary of Indiana Jones and on the creation of one of the most iconic characters in movie history. You have given us countless hours of joy. I love a double feature, and it doesn’t get any more explosive (or rosier) than one with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie,” he expressed.
Tom Cruise doesn’t care if his movie is the highest grossing or not, after all, he knows the competition is tough this year. However, he stressed that he enjoys seeing the diversity that Barbie has shown, something that Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig fought so hard for.
Margot Robbie responds to Tom Cruise
After the actor went public with his support for Robbie, she shared the most epic response. Along with the Barbie director, the actress posed in front of the Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 1 poster, her ticket in her hand, assuring that she was more than ready to support Cruise.
Like the actor, Robbie will also watch Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Oppenheimer. The post is simply titled “Mission: Accepted!”
The initial prediction suggests that Barbie could open to $70 million to $80 million, if not more. Oppenheimer is looking for a national debut in the $40 million range. Despite a mixed critical reception, Indiana Jones 5 is on track to open with a solid $60 million to $70 million over the weekend of June 30-July 2.
