“We have stopped production on ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ until June 14 after a positive result during a routine test,” the studio said on Thursday. “We are following all safety protocols and are continuing to evaluate the situation.” The crew would consist of 60 employees. Cruise would have been several meters from the infected person, but must still monitor any symptoms and avoid contact with others.

Sound recordings also leaked in December of lead actor and producer Tom Cruise ranting against some of the film’s employees who were not wearing masks. He threatened to fire them if they ignored the corona measures again. He insisted that the film industry was going through tough times and that jobs and incomes were at stake.

The production stop has no consequences for the release date of ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ for the time being. The premiere is scheduled for the end of May 2022.
