Stopped by the covid-19 outbreak
The filming of the seventh movie in the “Mission Impossible” series began in Italy in February, but like the rest of the world has stopped because of the covid 19 outbreak.
According to BT the goal is now to start up again in August or September in Norway. Recordings will be made in Western Norway, including Bergen.
Now True North Norway boss Per Henry Borch hopes that a meeting between the main role-holder Cruise and Prime Minister Erna Solberg can speed up a process that opens up for foreign film teams to come to Norway to record.
Will hardly be a meeting
Department Director Tor Aagaard Borgersen at the Prime Minister’s Office informs Today’s business that such a meeting is hardly a thing.
– The matter has been sent to the Ministry of Culture. There will be no meeting with Erna Solberg, which is why we have passed it on, says Tor Aagard Borgersen.
Although he will not be categorically dismissive of such a meeting.
– I should not say that 100 per cent certainly will not occur, but the answer is that no meeting with Erna Solberg has been scheduled, and the matter is handled by the Ministry of Culture, he says.
