Patriots on the start against Dolphins
They are number 1 and 2 in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and completions in NFL history.
How ESPN Reported, Brady is not a favorite for the first time in 74 (!) games of the regular season. Most recently, bookmakers did not see Brady with the Patriots as the favorite on matchday two of the 2015 season (at the Buffalo Bills). The series is the longest in NFL history, and the 42-year-old is also followed by Gegenüber Brees and the Saints.

A duel with the Patriots is not on the Bucs’ schedule, at the earliest in the playoffs it would be possible to meet again with coach Bill Belichick – for the Bucs, Brady’s long-time favorite contact station Rob Gronkowski will also be playing from the coming season. The first home game for Tampa Bay starts a week later on September 20 against the Carolina Panthers.
Brady’s ex-New England team will meet the Miami Dolphins on Matchday 1. Brady substitute Jarrett Stidham could make his first appearance as an NFL starter – against rookie Tua Tagovailoa, whom the Dolphins chose in number 5 in the draft.
Texans want revenge against chiefs
Number 1 pick Joe Burrow meets the Los Angeles Chargers to start with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Super Bowl winner Kansas City Chiefs traditionally opens the season in the Thursday Night Game against the Houston Texans. This gives the Texans the chance to retaliate for the spectacular 31:51 defeat in the 2019 Divisional Playoff Game, when the Chiefs still made up 24 points.
As expert Adam Schefter from ESPN reported that each team had the same bye week as their opponent on week 2. If the start had to be postponed due to the corona pandemic, this would mean that the schedule could be pushed back relatively easily. Every match day could be considered week 1, Schefter explained.
