Toluca, State of Mexico, March 5, 2022. From Monday, March 7 to Friday, March 11, 100 Mexican municipalities will apply booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to people between 18 and 29 years of age. Authorities of the Governments of Mexico and the State of Mexico reported that, in addition, in 95 municipalities they will apply first and second doses to minors born in 2007 who will be 15 years old in 2022, as well as minors between 15 and 17 years old and pregnant women with more than nine weeks of gestation. The sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. according to the following schedule:
Adults belonging to this age group who completed their primary schedule more than four months ago or were vaccinated with single-dose CanSino may be immunized.
As requirements, they must show an official identification, proof of address and present the completed and printed vaccination form from the platform www.mivacuna.salud.gob.mx.
The first and second doses may be applied to minors born in 2007 who turn 15 in 2022, as well as minors between 15 and 17 years of age and pregnant women with more than nine weeks of gestation.
As requirements, they must present an identification (CURP or Birth Certificate), printed registration of the site www.mivacuna.salud.gob.mx, proof of address and the format of their first application from the municipality where they are going to complete their scheme, for the case of second doses.
Authorities called for minors to be accompanied by an adult, preferably their mother, father or guardian.
They reiterated that they can consult municipalities, venues and schedules on the website http://edomex.gob.mx/vacunacion. The vaccine is free and safe, so it is not necessary to spend the night or arrive at the modules at dawn and, as far as possible, try to stagger your arrival so as not to expose yourself to long lines or crowds that put your health at risk. In addition to going for breakfast and, if you are undergoing any treatment, take your medications on time.
Similarly, they urged the population to continue with preventive health measures, even after having been vaccinated, such as the correct use of face masks, masks and/or goggles, frequent hand washing and keeping a healthy distance.
Finally, they reported that in the coming days the municipalities, venues and dates will be announced where the application of the booster vaccine will continue for people aged 18 to 29 years and first and second doses to minors born in 2007 than in 2022. They turn 15 years old, minors between 15 and 17 years old and pregnant women, for which they recommended that the population be aware of the official communication channels where they will be announced.
