Tokyo Stock Exchange has recovered ground after Monday’s sharp slide and surged higher during night trade. Before the close, the Nikkei 225 index is up nearly 8 percent.
The race on the main stock markets already started last week after, among other things, weak jobs figures from the US and renewed uncertainty about the future of the country’s economy. American stock markets fell sharply on Monday and among the big losers were technology giants. AI-hyped Nvidia fell more than 6 percent, while Apple pulled back nearly 5 percent.
