New medal for an athlete from Seine-Saint-Denis. Thursday September 2, 2021, Timothy Adolphe, visually impaired athlete licensed at the Saint-Denis Emotion, won the silver medal at the‘100 meters event.
First Paralympic medal
A great revenge for the athlete disqualified from the 400-meter event on Saturday August 28, 2021 for having lost the rope that linked him to his guide when he finished first in the race. With his guide Bruno Naprix, this time he won second place in 10 ″ 90, behind the Greek athlete Athanasios Ghavelas (10″82).
This is the first Paralympic award for this athlete who has had a series of disappointments. In 2016, during the Paralympic Games in Rio, Timothée Adolphe had already been disqualified for biting the line during his race.
Seine-Saint-Denis thus won its second medal. Tuesday August 31, 2021, Charles-Antoine Kouakou, gardener at Le Bourget, won the gold medal in the T20 400 meters.
