As with the first discharge, about 7,800 tons of contaminated water will be diluted with seawater and discharged into the sea in front of the nuclear power plant.
The required period is approximately 17 days, and the daily discharge amount is expected to be 460 tons. Tokyo Electric Power Company plans to discharge 31,200 tons of contaminated water, equivalent to 40 tanks, four times by March of next year.
