The women’s marathon at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo will start an hour earlier than originally planned. Competitors will set off on the track in Sapporo on Saturday at six o’clock in the morning local time (Friday 23.00 CEST).

The reason is the weather forecast, which speaks of high temperatures and high humidity. According to the organizers, the temperature at the start will be around 25 degrees Celsius, which will gradually exceed thirty degrees. Humidity should attack up to 90 percent.
