TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Platform e-commerce Tokopedia responding to many netizens’ questions about the application fee of IDR 1,000 for each transaction. The policy was implemented as of August 1, 2022.
Tokopedia’s Head of External Communications, Ekhel Chandra Wijaya, said that Tokopedia continues to improve the quality of the user experience. One way is to apply a service fee application.
“Amounting to Rp1,000 per August 1, 2022 for every physical product transaction through the Tokopedia website or application,” said Ekhel, Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
However, the application service fee, according to Ekhel, does not apply to transactions in financial products, digital products, TopAds, zakat and donations, except for gold rounding transactions, donations or credits included in the purchase of physical products.
In social media Twitter, the keyword with the hashtag Tokopedia is still one of the viral topics and is the most talked about by netizens. One netizen, for example, uploaded a screenshot of his conversation with @TokopediaCare.
It explains that as of August 3, 2022, every purchase of physical goods will be charged an application fee. This fee is mentioned to improve the quality of the Toppers experience on Tokopedia.
