We hope to leave through the front door, with significantly higher numbers than before. We hope that there will be a lack of understanding in public opinion as to why the program has to go.”
entertainment">Initially, Van Peperstraten presented the program with Dionne Stax, but it soon became apparent that there was no question of chemistry. “Dionne and I are completely different characters. We had hoped that we would complement each other. If you are going to make a duo program, you have to make sure that one plus one is much more than two. That you bring out the best in each other and that a kind of chemistry is created. That was just really hard. We had too little common ground.”
