Moov Africa Togo organized in partnership with the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS), an internal blood donation campaign this Friday, August 12, 2022 in the premises of the Directorate. A permanent activity started a few years ago and open this time to the public.
The initiative is intended by this occasion, to help people suffering from cancer in particular, to reduce the mortality rate of Togolese women during caesarean sections as well as for other pathologies which require blood transfusion.
“This blood donation campaign has been a tradition for several years now. Moov Africa has planned to support the National Blood Transfusion Center in its search for blood donations to save lives. This is part of our activities, namely people must be at the center of everything and so that’s why we do it every year… We estimate internally at least a hundred participants and we estimate that with the communication that has been made around the operation, we will also have the participation of outsiders.
We hope to reach 200 to be able to remedy these blood concerns that we encounter during accidents (…) we do not doubt for a moment the participation of our colleagues who are inside the country and we invite our compatriots to participate massively to this program”, confided Mr. ABALO Ambroise, Human Resources Director of MOOV AFRICA.
“Giving blood is something I do for everyone who needs it. It is true that today, it is rare to find blood to be able to help loved ones with regard essentially to blood diseases and others. This also allows us to take advantage of the analyzes that are done and in one way or another to have a general state in relation to my health. Already it is not the first time that I do it and I will do it again at the next opportunity”, added Henoc Adouayom-Mensah, a donor.
Note that Moov Africa Togo was awarded by the CNTS on World Blood Donor Day on June 14, 2022, a distinction for its contribution to the noble cause of blood donation in Togo.
Thus through this operation, Moov Africa Togo wishes to “mark its commitment to this disinterested donation and recall through this action how important blood donation is and particularly for those who depend on it”.
