Todorov: Radeva was not in Semerdzhiev’s car – Bulgaria

“The person named as having kidnapped Semerdzhiev was interrogated for hours by the National Investigation Service. There are many interesting things in his interrogation. The thesis of abduction is not confirmed”.

This is what he said in the program “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov” by NEW NEWS Yasen Todorov, Deputy Director of the National Investigation Service, commenting on the accident on Cherni Vrah Blvd., in which two young women died.

Todorov did not want to say what exactly was said, but clarified: “Things that will most likely be related to another pre-trial proceeding, for another activity carried out by a group of persons, more inclined to documentary, financial, tax crimes.”

This is what they found in Semerdzhiev’s blood

“The police officer Simona Radeva was definitely not in the car at the time of the accident,” added the investigator. “She actively participated and helped him to hide and possibly cover up traces of the crime,” he said.

According to him, so far all the protocols of the investigation have been approved. “All the evidence is valid. We are very advanced in the investigation, our work on the so-called hot leads has been very intensive and it is a mile that everything possible has been collected. Now there is an expert analysis on the basis of which many connections can be made.” Todorov pointed out.

He explained the entry “a little later into the premises where the alleged perpetrator was found” with the Criminal Code, which requires a number of procedures to be followed. They are necessary so that the Court can recognize the evidence as suitable and through them prove the guilt of the accused.

“We could have acted much faster, much more interestingly for the public, but not achieved the targeted procedural result”, Yasen Todorov explained and added: “And more fundamentally – the charges were taken already in the evening. A DNA profile was extracted immediately after the blood sample was taken. Before the 72nd hour, on the basis of this coincidence and the expertise of the sneakers, the Court made a reasoned guess as to who the perpetrator was and detained him.”

Methamphetamines in Semerdzhiev’s blood were found in the morning. “In combination with the person’s other actions, the provision for the so-called minor case cannot be applied,” the investigator stated categorically.

In this case, there are no witnesses or eyewitnesses of people getting out of the car, Yasen Todorov added.

According to him, all the recordings from the cameras of the Metropolitan Municipality and Traffic Police-SDVR are to be collected in order to see who was driving the car during the day immediately before the accident.
