A 22-month-old girl fell out of the window of a first-floor apartment in Vienna-Ottakring on Thursday afternoon. The toddler suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the hospital with the Vienna rescue helicopter.
According to the rescue, the condition of the girl is critical. The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old mother was busy with housework, and her seven-year-old brother was also present in the apartment. The toddler fell almost five meters deep. There was a bed by the window from which it fell, and the girl must have climbed over it.
